Can anyone with the software application “unlock” my braking system?

No, the software is programmable to a specific 4 digit “pin” that responds to your unit only.

Trailer Sentry – Is the unit water proof?

Yes, the unit is fully enclosed and water proof.  It has hinged door with a locking feature.  It is made of hardened plastic that will stand up to years of usage.  The unit is designed to meet NEMA 6P/IP68 ratings, UL Listed to UL 508A, Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, 12 &13 and is UL94V-0 flame rated.

What if I lose power to my mobile device or cannot find my mobile device?

Yes, to be discussed with owners of the product about using direct access..

What is the range for locking or unlocking the unit from my mobile device?

The system is a Blue Tooth interface and has a maximum range of 300 feet.  Other variables such as terrain, weather, power, etc. may affect the operating distance.

Trailer Sentry – How much time does it take to install the unit?

The unit takes between 20-30 minutes to install.  It can be mounted under the trailer anywhere it can interface with the brake lines.

The warranty is for 3 years from date of purchase.  The air control valves and other components are DOT approved.

How many miles do I need to drive before I see results?

There are a number of factors that affect real world fuel economy: weather conditions, driving conditions, driving habits, etc.  Also, most trucks and cars are equipped with Vehicle Control Modules.  These modules are constantly taking in information from a variety of sources.  The computers need to be reset over a period of hundreds of miles and even a couple of tanks of fuel.

You will see immediate emissions reductions and may feel a slight power increase due to the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx providing a better grade of fuel to the engine.

My vehicle is equipped with a fuel economy computer. Is this the best way to track my mileage improvement?

We have found that the computers are not always accurate and require a couple hundred miles to reset.  Over time in most cases they will indicate a higher reading with the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx installed. For testing purposes we recommend you follow the DieselMax/GasMax testing procedure.  Our testing protocols are here.

Will the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx affect my manufacture warranty?

No.  The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act states the following:

US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312 Legally, a vehicle manufacturer can not void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)). If your vehicle manufacturer fails to honor the warranty, contact the FTC at (202) 326-3128 or www.ftc.gov

What is the warranty period?

The warranty is three years from the date of purchase.  We will repair or replace any product due to manufacture defects.

Do you have different types of installation kits?

Yes, we have several different types of installation kits available to make it easy to install the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx.  Our fuel lines are DOT approved.

Who installs the units for our fleet?

One of our technicians will train the fleet mechanics how to properly install the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx.  Our technicians are available for questions via phone, email and Skype calls.

Does the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx work with all types of engines?

Yes, the DieselMaxx/GasMaxx work with gasoline, diesel, propane and natural gas engines
